My name is Helen Schettini. I’m from a small town in the middle of British Columbia called Kamloops. I grew up there with my brother who got me into shredding after being a ski racer my whole early life. After I graduated high school, I moved to Whistler to pursue halfpipe contest riding. After I broke my legs 3 times in the pipe and having my roommates show me what powder riding was like, I acquired a sled and started heading out into the backcountry whenever I had the chance. Then it just kept going from there. :)

Helen Schettini got her start on the snow in ski racing, but made the switch to snowboarding and is now one of the most popular female backcountry slayers in the game. She’s come a long way in this male-dominated discipline and has landed sponsorships with Adidas, Billabong, YES, Whistler Blackcomb, Airhole, The Circle and VIVO.

The Kamloops, British Columbia native move to Whistler when she was just 17 and right out of high school to pursue her snowboarding dreams. She currently resides in Whistler, British Columbia during the winters and Encinitas, CA in the summer.
